SCHOOLHOUSE VILLA
This well-appointed, spacious, and reasonably priced villa is a perfect option for travelers looking for a long-term rental. This house is a short three minute walk from Virgin Gorda’s largest grocery store, the Virgin Gorda yacht harbor, and the Spanish Town ferry dock. This makes Schoolhouse Villa an excellent home base for exploring not only Virgin Gorda but also the rest of the British and US Virgin Islands. Due to its proximity to numerous restaurants and bars, visitors have stayed at Schoolhouse Villa for a month at a time without the added expense of renting a car. You are less than a mile from a large selection of beaches and if you do not want to walk, taxis are plentiful. Of course, cars or jeeps are available for rent and start at about $50/day.
In its previous incarnation, this villa was a childcare center. It has a large yard fully equipped with a walk-in dollhouse, a sandbox, swings, and even a rabbit cage. In addition, the inside of the house is loaded with toys. This villa is very comfortable for adults but it is also an excellent choice for families with children.
There is one large bedroom with en suite bathroom and a separate sitting area. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen, a second full bathroom, a nice-sized living room, and a spacious and shaded front porch. There is a second sleeping alcove off of the living room that is perfect for children. The house comfortably sleeps two adults and can accommodate up to two children. The house has two televisions, cable TV, a DVD player, and internet access.
This villa is comfortably furnished, centrally located, reasonably priced, and perfect for children of all ages.
